Bluff Bodies and Wake–Wall Interactions

This review surveys the dramatic variations in wake structures and flow transitions, addition to body forces, that appear as motion of bluff bodies through a fluid occurs increasingly closer solid wall. In particular, we discuss two cases translating parallel walls at varying heights impacting on walls. former case, highlight changes varies from an isolated or very close wall, including effects when is rotating. For latter case body, following impact their transition three-dimensionality. We issue whether there solid–solid contact between wall its importance motion.
